Fixed a kink that split my hose right in the middle, and this mender screwed on tight with no leaks. The brass feels solid, way better than the plastic one I tried last year. Two seasons in and it's still holding fine.
The brass fitting clamped onto my 5/8-in. hose without leaking, which surprised me since the last plastic mender I tried popped off within a week. Only gripe is that you really need a screwdriver with some muscle to tighten the clamps down properly.
