The stainless steel clamps on this mender actually bite down hard enough that I stopped worrying about it popping off mid-watering. Took about five minutes to install with a flathead screwdriver, and the repaired section hasn't dripped once all summer.
Fixed the leak in the middle of my garden hose instead of buying a whole new one, and the stainless steel clamp is holding tight after a month of daily watering. The brass shank seated easily into both cut ends and hasn't dripped since.
