The old hose end was cracked and leaking everywhere, so I cut it off and twisted this mender on instead of buying a whole new hose. The plastic feels sturdy and hasn't corroded at all, even after sitting outside in the rain for a few weeks.
Fixed a dripping faucet connection on my 5/8 in. hose in about five minutes with this mender. The plastic feels sturdy and didn't corrode like the old metal end did. Back to watering the garden without a puddle under the spigot.
