The gear drive on this thing is genuinely smooth — no spluttering or stalling even at the end of a long hose run. I switched between the Cone and Shower patterns mid-watering and the click-stop dial felt solid under my thumb, not flimsy like the last sprinkler I owned.
The Shower setting covers a surprisingly wide strip along my fence line, and the touchpoints are so intuitive that my kid figured out the switch to Cone on his own. It’s sturdy enough on the spike that it hasn’t tipped over once, even with my dog running past.
My lawn’s got a few dry patches and honestly this thing has revived them. I love that the gear drive moves the water in a steady arc, no annoying spurts, and the cone setting is perfect for the narrow strip by the fence. Setup took me maybe two minutes.
