The brass mender slid onto my 5/8-in. hose end without any leaking once I tightened the clamp. Feels way sturdier than the plastic one that cracked on me last summer, and no rust so far after a few weeks outside.

Cut my hose right at the worn spot and this brass mender screwed on snug with no leaks after a week of watering. Only gripe is the instructions were pretty bare, so I guessed on clamp placement the first time. Solid fix for the price though.

Fixed the female end of my 5/8-in. hose instead of buying a new one, and the brass threaded on without leaking. Only gripe is that it doesn't come with a clamp, so factor that in. Solid repair for the price.
