I've been using these to keep my emitters off the soil in my raised beds, and the 12-inch extension really lets me position the drip right where the plants need it. They push into the ground easily and stay put, even with the tubing threaded through the clip.

The reinforced clip on this stake holds my 1/4" tubing perfectly upright, even after a few windy days in the garden. I love that I can extend it to 24 inches total to keep the emitter right where my tomato roots need it.
