It hasn't kinked once since I hooked it up to the sprinkler, and it's genuinely light enough to drag around the whole yard without dragging me down. The way it collapses back to its short length when I shut the water off makes cleanup a two-second job.
Honestly, I was skeptical about it shrinking back, but it genuinely contracts to its original length the second I shut off the spigot. It's so lightweight I can drag it around the whole yard one-handed, and the fact that it doesn't kink makes watering the flower beds feel like less of a chore.
It expands to a full 50 feet with the water on, but the retraction is a bit slower than I expected once you shut it off. Still, the way it shrinks back down makes it a cinch to stash in the garage without wrestling with a stiff coil.
