The metal feels solid, way sturdier than the plastic one I tried last year, and it clamped onto the cut center of my 5/8 hose without any leaking. Saved me from buying a whole new hose.

Fixed a split in my 5/8 inch hose in about two minutes with this thing, no leaks at the joint so far. The metal body is way beefier than the plastic mender I tried last year, and it clamped down tight on both cut ends.

The metal feels solid in the hand and slid onto both cut ends of my 5/8 hose without any fuss. Clamped it down and the connection has held through a few weeks of watering the garden. Nice not to have to buy a whole new hose.
