Was about to toss my 3/4-in hose until I found this brass mender. The stainless steel clamp actually bites down hard and seals tight, no drips at the connection after weeks of watering. Saved me from buying a whole new hose.

My old hose had a cracked female coupling that leaked every time I turned the water on. This brass mender slipped in fine and the stainless clamp sealed it tight, though I had to really crank the screw to get it fully leak-proof. Two weeks in and no drips.

Fixed the split female end on my hose in about five minutes, and the stainless clamp feels way sturdier than the plastic one it replaced. Only gripe is that getting it seated took some muscle, but no drips since.
