My old hose was leaking at the connection and this mender fixed it in about five minutes, the heavy brass feels like it'll outlast the hose itself. Works perfectly with the ribbed style I've got.
Saved my old 5/8" hose from the landfill—the heavy brass construction threads on smoothly and grips tight enough that I don't have to wrestle with the spray nozzle anymore. Took about two minutes to install, and it's held up fine with our cold tap water.
The brass threads are machined perfectly, so it screws on tight without any wobble, and the heavy-duty build feels like it'll outlast the hose itself. I fixed the frayed end of my 5/8" garden hose in about five minutes and it's held up through a full summer of watering.
