The brass threads screwed on clean and tight with no cross-threading, which is more than I can say for the plastic mender I tried last year. Feels solid enough to outlast the hose itself.

My old hose end cracked right at the threads, and this mender screwed on tight with no leaks after a full afternoon of watering. The brass feels solid, not like the flimsy pot metal one I replaced. Two seasons from now I bet it's still going.

The brass fitting threaded on without any fuss and hasn't dripped once since I put it on a couple weeks ago. Solid heavy-duty piece, way better than the plastic menders I've burned through before.
